allright

I just couldn't stand and just read those reviews before me... Specifically thantounderscore's review. You're just an ignorant bastard. There IS a way to get back money, even though only once per game, and there IS a way to beat that level; just because all you can think of as a good defence is having the most friggin' powerful gun in the universe doesn't mean that actually is the best. I'll let you figure out the rest, just explore around the upgrade section, maybe you'll find something...
Now maybe I can get to the actual review...
The game itself is great, though with several smaller flaws. There's one big flaw though; all done before. I didn't find this four-ways-firing mechanism too much of a novelty, especially since it doesn't provide enough firepower to match the power drain, the upgrade cost, and tha fact that you can get a little disoriented. At least that's what I think. I haven't finished the game yet, but at lvl 22-23-ish I'm perfectly happy with only one core upgrade, so if I'm in a tight spot I activate the rear gun. The upgrades and weapons were simply adequate. Not too shabby, but nothing new.
All in all, this is a great game. Not perfect, not amazing, but great.
And I'll leave it at that.

hehe, I've just responded to that guy...

I know, the idea is old. But I've just finished StarCraft FA5 and I didnt want to start any serious project.

Yay!

That was fun for a short time, but there wasn't much to do other than repositioning the two magnets and the pads (or did I miss something? -_-)
Anyways, I had some fun creating something like a hydrogen molecule with the two magnets, and when you have a single magnet with a single dot orbiting around it, I found that it in fact DOES look like an atom with an electron around it.
'Nuff about science, the engine and physics are superb, but you should have the ability to modify many more things, which I see a few people already mentioned before me, so I won't detail them.

whoa...

jes... well, the game could definitely use a pause button. and you could make it so that the main gun fires constantly, and you press the mouse button if you want it to stop firing for whatever your reason, but it just hurt to keep it pressed constantly...
to all you people whining about difficulty, make it to levels 17-18 or such. that's the part where it becomes PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE to advance forward, your best shot is your luck. infantry comes crawling like a huge mass of shit, and not even maxed out guns with a focused main gun can halt their assault. by the end I merely survived a few more seconds by clicking the repair button like a maniac, but it didn't help for long.
since the title is "Heli Invasion", I'd suggest putting more emphasis on the aerial assault - the copters proved much less of a nuisance than the infantry (possibly because the automated air defenses are much stronger than the ground defenses)
overall not too bad, but it needs balance, more variation (in enemies and upgrades), and some sort of regulation please, so that I don't have to give up simply because it's impossible to alter the events after a point.
one last thing: I couldn't truly max out the main gun's firing rate, I guess because you upgrade it in steps of 3, and it didn't quite come out.

simple and fun

But way too easy and short. Usually I give up on these types of games about halfway because of the difficulty, but here there were only a few levels that gave me a slight headache. And that was mostly thanks to the vibration.
I also agree with someone before me, the impossible mode was way easier than the ultra-vibrating red levels. Perhaps if it was totally invisible, and it was up to the player to discover the blocks... now THAT just might be close to impossible.
Since I see you already know about the problems with the controls, I won't put it up to you.
Keep it up, waiting for the next version,

interesting

An interesting RPG, with quite some clichés, bur overall not too bad. A few tips though: make the talk boxes larger. It was really annoying to see text cut into so many parts, it took away from the whole feeling of the game. Secondly: grammar. Another thing that's important in such a game is perfect grammar. I can't remember how many spelling mistakes there were, but quite a lot.
And if it's going to be a full game, reduce the damage spells do. Pyro's inferno did something like 900-1000 damage, and I can imagine what effect that will have on balance.
I liked the combat system though, and that thingy with the normal attack. Don't know for sure what it's good though if I make it perfect, it seemed as though I get an extra attack. The other thing I liked was that you get a monster description after you kill an opponent.
Overall an enjoyable game, save for it's length.

weeell...

not bad, but I gave you a 0 for style - there seems to be too many sniper games around, and it's becoming quite unoriginal IMHO.
maybe you could put in some sort of a twist, like, not making it with stick figures for once? I haven't seen a sniper game yet where the characters ain't sticks. this way you can add missions where you have to identify a person based on a phantom image or something. I dunno, just make up an idea of your own.

yeah well...

I've got to give points on the graphics and the idea, both were really good... but for fucks sake, why do I have to click a million times to select the goddamn units?? even so, that wouldn't be such a huge problem if those morons would ATTACK enemies, at least when they're attacked!
oh, fuck fuck fuck, it started out all so good, then got ruined... totally...

VENGEANCE-GGG responds:

There are about 5 different ways to select units, you don't have to click them at all. Try Ctrl A to select your entire army, use the numpad to select units of a different type, hold down shift to add units to your selection, you can use the numbers above the letters on the keyboard to assign groups if you're holding down Space, you can even click and drag a selection box. And you can single-click on a unit, or double-click it to select all others of its type. Don't you _dare_ suggest that it's hard to select units.

They do attack enemies when they're attacked. That is, unless you've told them to do something else. If you've told them to attack something, or walk somewhere, then I'm not going to purposely add code to make your troops disobey your orders.

a really good game

gave the creeps for me... I played this last night with no lights, after midnight, with headphones at high volume... fuck, I had to turn up the lights so I could go to sleep.
graphics were great, but sometimes a bit pixelated. storyline is good but... well, it kinda sucks that we humans lose in the end... why not a sequel where we win?
now about the puzzles... well if I was to figure out the sudoku puzzle by myself, I never would've finished this game. so for others: the solution is 831, so you wouldn't have to look further back. and the thing with the beacons, I really didn't see the logic in them, even with my exceptional intelligence (said so). those who can't solve it: right click, forward. oops. a pathetic cheat, isn't it? ^^
all in all, it was a good scare, and the story elements made it complete. waiting for the sequel, if you ever make one,

OMG

well first of all, great game, reminds me of an older game, can't remember it's name though... I got to somewhere about lvl 10 when I got bored. saw a guy's comment saying the password for lvl 28 was kid668 or whatever, and that it's fucking hard. well... I don't want to disappoint you, but I made it after my first try. I guess that's what you can call shitass luck :P beat the next level guys... hfd535 just so you'd see I made it...
if I had more patience, and time, I'd really enjoy this game. great logical time-waster to say the least.
keep it up!

GameBalance responds:

Yeah. It's something about luck.
My mother get it from 3d try(2 min) but some other levels she were thinking by half hour.

would be good

but I found an easy way to "cheat"...
if you just push the left or right direction (I only tried with right), you don't even have to do anything, you'll just evade everything. thus, if I wanted to bust a high score, I could just put something heavy on the key, and I'd leave it there for a day or two... but that'd be quite pointless, mind you :)
